Shreveport Geological Society Scholarship

through the Community Foundation of Shreveport-Bossier

This scholarship is awarded annually to Junior, Senior, or Graduate students pursuing degrees in geology, based on recommendations from the Shreveport Geological Society Scholarship Committee. Selection criteria include academic excellence, financial need, and demonstrated leadership and motivation in the field of geology.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Be at least a Junior by the start of the Fall 2025 semester.
  • Completed a minimum of 8 hours in geology courses.
  • Enrolled as a full-time student.

Application Details:

  • The application process is entirely online at www.cfnla.org.
    • Navigate to the Community tab, then Scholarships, and select The Shreveport Geological Society Scholarship to access the portal.
    • Applications open February 1, 2025.
    • Be sure to provide all required information, including transcripts and other materials, to avoid disqualification.
    • Deadline: Applications must be submitted by March 28, 2025.
